A. Cross Selling generally refers to selling more products to existing customers. The article below gives some great pointers on how to make cross selling successful.
A critical step is to identify cross selling opportunities. This is particularly difficult if you use distributors to go to market. If you collect Point-Of-Sale data from your distributors, you can begin to compile statistically relevant “profile” information on a market. Once you aggregate the data, you can then begin to identify cross selling opportunities by comparing the actual results versus the profile. From here, you can identify whether specific customers are being tapped for their potential.
